Apollo-11's historic space journey recreated by students


The Springs International School  celebrated Moon Day in a unique way on Monday . It was on July 20, 1969, that American astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first human to walk on the moon.
 The students recreated the American spacecraft Apollo-11, on which Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin Aldrin Jr. made the historic space journey.
Diuf Shajahan , a class VII student, played Armstrong.Aswin , Stain Jacob plyed the role of  Michael Collins, and Edwin Aldrin Jr respectively.
Neil Armstrong explained to the children how it was like travelling to the moon and back. The students asked "little Armstrong" many questions.
The Social Science Club and the Science Club of the school jointly organised the celebration.
 Principal Dr. K Anas spoke about the moon journey and the astronauts involved.Teachers Pathumakutty, Chithrakala, Akbar Ali, KM Rajeesh, Ms Sajitha,Ameer Ali, Vinod kumar,Shameem and Jithu guided the students.
